Biography

Dr. Anna-Bettina Haidich is the Director of the Laboratory of Hygiene, Social-Preventive Medicine & Medical Statistics and a Professor in Medical Statistics-Epidemiology at the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She graduated from the Department of Statistics, Athens University of Economics in 1996 and received her MSc degree in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK in 1997. During 1998-1999, she worked as a biostatistician at the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research of the Harvard School of Public Health. She received her Ph.D. from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina in 2003. Dr. Haidich has written a book in medical statistics, 2 chapters in books and published 225 papers in international journals with more than 6000 references. Her research interests include epidemiology, medical statistics, with emphasis in the methodology of transparency and safety reporting in clinical trials, meta-analyses and overviews of systematic reviews.
